life is busy.

trying to stay focused on the Lord. I dont want to lose my first Love but its really easy to get distracted in life.

hey all, its been a while since I've posted a blog. I've been kinda taking a step back from techy stuff. It was necessarily even a decision I made, just kinda happened. But its been good. Ive been spending more time with the Lord, everyday want to know I've met with Him and been satisfied in His word and presence. It absolutely changes everything in your day to day life. I find I'm more of a people person when Im spending time with the Lord. I've been challenged in that lately. When I'm home and at church I have such a different thought pattern. I'm looking for where God wants to use me in the church, who I can encourage and speak life into. But when I'm on the road, I dont think like that at all. So I'm asking God to start using me on the road more in that manner. just in whoever's life. security guards, the random people at gas stations that we meet but so easily overlook, the band members and crew guys.

Psalm 27:4 'One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple....
27:8 'You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].'

I love that is says, ' require My presence as your vital need.'
I know that at times, truly needing God like that in my life everyday. just not everyday. I pray that we would all begin to desire and seek Him with that amount of passion and desperation.

So one of the bands that I produced recently called Hyland released a single to Christian Rock Radio last week and it was #4 most added this week. Very exciting!

5 days til I'm home. This tour has been amazing. one of the best for sure. but its been a month and a half since ive been home. i miss my friends. :)

ive been reading a book lately called Loving Jesus by Mother Teresa. It's got such great simple truths in it. (Aside from all the catholic theology she throws in there....) God's been showing me simple love. simple obedience. its not meant to be complex. its meant to be simple. either our lives are surrendered to God, or theyre not. either we love people more than we love ourselves or we dont. God isnt a God of gray. He's black and white, He wants us hot or cold. It so easy to live in the middle, to compromise on little things because theyre "not a big deal" but really.. theyre the big deal. theyre where the rubber meets the road in our faith. its in the little things where we rehearse the big decisions we will make.

allllright, going to get some sleep... or at least lay in my bunk and over think for a while. :)

Today, I went to the mall one last time before heading over to the studio where we are doing our photoshoot for the record. Spent a few hours going through everything and putting together outfits. Pretty cool stuff, I'm excited about the look of the new record. David Molnar is doing the shooting. Killer photographer! http://www.davidmolnar.com

They also worked on the album art shots as well. John the one who will be on it and he had to do the shoot with his shirt off, so to make him feel more comfortable and David and all the crew guys took their shirts off. It was a pretty funny sight.

Anyways, that was pretty much my whole day. I had a good time reading the word last night. I started the other day by trying to read a proverb a night, its turned into me going deeper than I have in a while. I realized I was just kinda blazing through verses getting it done, then stopped and prayed that God would make it alive and that it would be food to me and He would reveal Himself to me in it. And He really has. Praise God! I challenge you all to pray that as well. He's faithful and desires to be in relationship with us. It's such an amazing thing. Ok, I can ramble.
